Life appeared to be normal when I stepped out of Yau Ma Tei station in November 2019. Of course, I knew about the protests but I had no idea that a major protest had flared up and paralyzed their metro system earlier in the day.

While the protests would continue throughout the week, I hope the photos below show a tiny bit of Hong Kong life in addition to what it was like being in Hong Kong during the protests.
